مکالمه ی انتخاب غذا (What’s for dinner)

در این داستان یک خانواده تصمیم دارند تا برای شام غذا انتخاب کنند. موضوع این داستان ” مامان شام چی داریم؟” است. که فکر می کنم از رایج ترین مکالمات در بین خانواده ها از هر ملیتی باشد. گرامرهای موردنیاز در این مکالمه Simple present، present perfect، Simple past، future/will، can/could است. این گرامرهای را در دوره ی گرامر A1 تا C2 می توانید بخوانید. کلمات و اصطلاحات بکار رفته در  مکالمه ی انتخاب غذا بسیار کاربردی است. این اصطلاحات را به همراه مثال در ادامه آورده ایم.

اصطلاحات کاربردی:

۱- Go for something: To like, enjoy or prefer something

I`ve never really gone for romantic comedies, to be honest.

۲- be into something (inf): to be very interested in or passionate about something

Sara is very into the Flyers, so I got him tickets to an upcoming game for Christmas.

۳- not to give something a single thought: not to think about something

I didn’t give you a single thought after you had broken my heart. 

۴- Make it: to be successful

If you make it in New York City, you can make it anywhere.

۵- take forever: take a very long time

You took forever to het home. Was there traffic?

۶- Turn someone off: to cause someone to lose interest or excitement

Nothing turns me off like the smell of slush.  هیچ چیز مثل بوی روغن سوخته اشتهای من را کور نمی کند

۷- Cannot get enough of something: to like something very much and want a lot of it

I cant get enough of this new TV show.

۸- At this rate: if things continue in the same way (usually of a pessimistic view) این طور که پیش میره

At this rate all the food will be gone before we get there.

۹- picky: choosy

My cat is picky eater.

۱۰- put on (movie): to bring playing some kind of media, such as television, movie, music, etc.

Would you mind putting on a bit of music while we`re eating dinner?

۱۱- To be crazy about something or someone: very fond of someone or something

I’m crazy about their new song.

۱۲- cant stand something or someone: cannot tolerate something or someone due to an aversion or a strong sense of disgust or dislike

I could never be a doctor, as I just cant stand the sight of blood.
